What We Offer

Our goal is to provide the youth we serve a sense of belonging, long-lasting relationships and guidance. Our independent living services aims to give those aging out of foster care a way to transition into adulthood while lessening their chances of homelessness, suicide, or crime.

Modern Living Room

Transitional Housing

Youth will be provided a fully furnished room in a shared apartment in the Hampton Roads area. They must be able to complete basic daily tasks on their own and not require constant supervision.

Youth are accepted based on their willingness to follow the home's rules and expectations, including attending work and/or school. The youth will also be expected to sign an agreement agreeing to these terms before moving in.

Intergenerational Laptop Usage

Mentoring

Looking for a supportive environment? Our program offers youth the opportunity to be paired with a dedicated volunteer mentor. These mentors will meet with the youth weekly for up to 4 hours a month, focusing on essential independent living skills. Together, they will work towards building confidence and fostering independence in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere.
